I believe in Jesus Christ…
There were many who had the name Jesus when Jesus was born. So if we only say we believe in Jesus, we haven’t said enough. And if we think Christ is just a last name, we still don’t understand.
The name Christ identifies Jesus as the long awaited Messiah, the Son of God, the Anointed One.
The name Christ reveals who Jesus is. You can’t believe in Jesus as a human being that is anything less than the Messiah without cancelling your faith altogether. Continue reading →
Creator of Heaven and Earth;
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. It doesn’t really matter what translation of the Bible you are using, this verse reads word for word the same in almost all of them.
God is the beginning, and the Creator of everything that was made. Sadly there are many who can’t accept this – who want to believe that everything just happened by chance over millions of years. But that is not what the Bible teaches. And science has yet to disprove God, they can only dismiss him from their minds. But God doesn’t go away, nor does his creation. And the assumptions scientists use to explain away creation by God are only that – assumptions. They cannot be proven. Continue reading →
I believe in God, the Father Almighty…
Our Father God is Almighty – the all-powerful One. There is nothing God can’t do. No circumstance is outside his control.
God revealed a new name to Abraham in Genesis 1, “I am God Almighty.” This name is El Shaddai in Hebrew – the all-sufficient One. Even though Abraham and Sarah were well beyond their childbearing years, God was still able to keep his promise and give them a son. Continue reading →
