In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. It doesn’t really matter what translation of the Bible you are using, this verse reads word for word the same in almost all of them.
God is the beginning, and the Creator of everything that was made. Sadly there are many who can’t accept this – who want to believe that everything just happened by chance over millions of years. But that is not what the Bible teaches. And science has yet to disprove God, they can only dismiss him from their minds. But God doesn’t go away, nor does his creation. Our Father God is Almighty – the all-powerful One. There is nothing God can’t do. No circumstance is outside his control.
God presents himself to us as our Father. Isaiah wrote “And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.” (Isaiah 64:8a NLT)
First and foremost Christians believe in God. God is the first being in the Trinity.
